Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Welcome to Tanzania! Upon your arrival at the airport, a representative from Hamarayuni Tours will greet you and transfer you to your luxurious accommodation in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you’ll have the opportunity to relax and prepare for the adventure of a lifetime.

Arusha, a bustling city, is an essential part of safari life in northern Tanzania and serves as the gateway to the region’s most iconic national parks.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, your Hamarayuni Tours guide will pick you up from your accommodation, and you’ll set off for Tarangire National Park. The drive takes approximately two and a half hours on well-maintained tarmac roads. Tarangire is renowned for its abundant wildlife, both large and small. The park is particularly famous for its large herds of elephants, often seen meandering through the bush or gathering at the river to drink and cool off during the dry season.

In addition to elephants, Tarangire is a birdwatcher’s paradise, with over 500 species of birds. The park’s landscape is dotted with ancient baobab trees, which tower above the savannah and play a vital role in the ecosystem. These majestic trees provide shelter for bees, birds, and bats, and their nourishing fruit and water storage make them a lifeline during the dry season. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your game drive. In the evening, you’ll transfer to your luxurious accommodation near the park.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, you’ll drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a small but incredibly diverse park. Known for its varied habitats, from the Rift Valley soda lake to dense woodlands and steep mountainsides, Lake Manyara offers a unique wilderness experience. The park is famous for its unusual tree-climbing lions and the elephant herds it was established to protect.

The lake’s shores attract over 400 species of birds, including waterfowl and migrants. You may also spot large herds of buffalo, cheetahs, Masai giraffes, and impalas roaming the lake shores and forested slopes. After a full day of exploration, you’ll make the short drive to your luxurious accommodation in Karatu.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you’ll drive into the cooler regions of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with a chance to stop and admire the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater. You’ll then continue through the conservation area to the Serengeti, entering the park from the south.

The Serengeti is truly spectacular, famous for its vast open grasslands that provide excellent wildlife sightings. It is perhaps best known for the annual Great Migration, where millions of wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes move in a continuous cycle in search of fresh grazing. The migration can be witnessed at any time of the year, depending on where the herds are located.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park
This entire day is dedicated to game drives in the Serengeti, one of the most famous national parks in the world. Its vast, open grasslands and untouched ecosystems make it a haven for wildlife. The Serengeti is home to an incredible variety of animals, and it’s here that you’ll have the best chance of seeing predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards in action.

You can choose to do early morning and late afternoon game drives, returning to the camp for lunch, or opt for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch in the park.

Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you’ll drive from the Serengeti to the iconic Ngorongoro Crater. Once a gigantic volcano, the Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact caldera in the world. It’s believed that before it erupted, it would have been taller than Mount Kilimanjaro! Today, the crater is a stunning wildlife sanctuary, home to a dense population of animals.

The drive down into the crater is an adventure in itself. Once on the crater floor, you’ll be surrounded by large herds of wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, and over 500 bird species. The crater is also one of the best places to spot the endangered black rhino. After a full afternoon of exploration, you’ll head to your luxurious accommodation in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Karatu to the Airport
On your final day, you’ll be driven to your chosen destination, such as Arusha Town, Arusha Airport, or Kilimanjaro Airport. The timing will depend on your onward travel plans.
