Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, your Hamarayuni Tours safari guide will pick you up from your accommodation, and you’ll embark on a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park. The journey takes approximately two and a half hours on well-maintained tarmac roads. Named after the Tarangire River, which flows through the park, this “river of warthogs” is the primary water source for wildlife during the dry season.

Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant families, often seen gathering by the river. You may also spot giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, and a variety of predators, including lions and leopards. The park is a birdwatcher’s paradise, boasting more breeding species of birds than anywhere else on the planet. Don’t miss the iconic baobab trees, some of which are believed to be over a thousand years old.

Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot within the park. After an exhilarating day of game drives, you’ll head to your accommodation in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Mid-range: Eileen’s Tree Inn

Day 3: Karatu to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you’ll drive into the cooler highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with a chance to stop and admire the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater. From there, you’ll continue through the conservation area to the Serengeti National Park, entering at the southern gate.

The Serengeti is truly spectacular, famous for its vast open grasslands and incredible wildlife sightings. It’s best known for the annual Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes move in a continuous cycle in search of fresh grazing. Depending on the time of year, you may witness this awe-inspiring natural phenomenon, often referred to as one of the “Seven Wonders of the Natural World.”

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park and spend the night at a luxury tented camp in the heart of the Serengeti.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park
This entire day is dedicated to exploring the wonders of the Serengeti. The park is home to an abundance of wildlife, including impalas, buffaloes, crocodiles, and hippos. You’ll also have the chance to spot predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards. The iconic landscapes and thrilling wildlife encounters make this a truly life-changing experience.

You can choose between early morning and late afternoon game drives, returning to the camp for lunch, or opt for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch in the park.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro
After breakfast, you’ll begin your journey toward the Ngorongoro Crater, soaking in the stunning scenery along the way. The Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a natural wonder formed when a massive volcano collapsed two to three million years ago.

As you descend into the crater, you’ll be greeted by sweeping savannahs, acacia woodlands, and shimmering lakes. The crater is home to wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and over 500 bird species. It’s also one of the best places in Tanzania to spot the endangered black rhino.

After a full afternoon of game drives, you’ll head to your accommodation in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha
After breakfast, you’ll drive to Lake Manyara National Park, the final destination on your epic safari. This compact yet diverse park is framed by the towering Great Rift Escarpment and centered around a shallow salt lake. The lake attracts thousands of wading birds, including flamingos and over 500 other bird species.

Explore the park’s evergreen forests, where you may spot baboons and elephants, and keep an eye out for the famous tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before embarking on your final game drive.

In the afternoon, you’ll bid farewell to your Hamarayuni Tours guide and be dropped off at your preferred location, such as Arusha, Kilimanjaro Airport, or Arusha Airport. We hope you’ve enjoyed your incredible adventure with Hamarayuni Tours!
