Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa, standing at 5,895 meters (19,341 feet) above sea level. Located in Tanzania, it is a free-standing volcanic mountain, meaning it is not part of a mountain range. Kilimanjaro consists of three distinct volcanic cones: Kibo, Mawenzi, and Shira. Kibo is the highest peak, and its summit is known as Uhuru Peak.
